Forum for New Professionals
HAVE YOU GOT YOUNG PROFESSIONALS WHO:
For as little as $300* you can unleash far better performance from this talented group. Often all that’s needed is some early expert advice and guidance to help kick-start them in the workplace.
In September 2012, Savvy at Work are holding a half day forum to:
– help new professionals to develop work skills that matter by providing them with expert guidance and thinking tools they need to perform more effectively
– help you to get them off on a positive and rewarding career.
The forum will help the participant to become:
Savvy/skilled Learner – Knowing how to reflect and implement key learnings from day to day experiences
Able Influencer – Knowing how to identify who the key stakeholders are and how to work effectively with them
Vision Driven – knowing how to see the big picture and not just focus on the now
Valued Contributor – knowing how to Get things done, smarter and faster
Yourself Aware – Knowing their strengths, weaknesses and those actions that can lead to a career derailed.
We know that young people prefer active peer to peer learning so this forum includes a series of interactive activities and processes for participants to draw on the strengths of their own learning and from others in the group. They also get the added benefit of coming away with newly formed relationships with others who are at a similar stage in their career.
Friday, 28 September, 9am – 1pm.
Long Room, Basin Reserve, Wellington.
Facilitators Tania Gough, Trish Lui and Lygia Bing bring a wealth of experience and expertise with young professionals and in organisational learning and development. The interactions and experiences from the work these facilitators do across a range of organisations and industries, allows them to understand how to help the different generations in the workplace value each other and work more effectively together for more productive outcomes.
